CLIMAS Projects - Sectors

Climate affects many sectors, including fire management, agriculture, and energy. Prolonged dry periods, for example, increase fire danger and can decimate non-irrigated crops, while continuous heat waves can jeopardize the health of certain demographics in urban areas. The diversity of CLIMAS projects reflect the numerous sectors in the Southwest that benefit from improved understanding and access to climate information. All CLIMAS projects targets at least one sector.
